To install SharePoint 2013, you have to have appropriate administrative and service accounts on servers running SharePoint 2013 and SQL Server. After installation, you need to have appropriate administrative and service accounts to modify and maintain the environment. The accounts that you require to complete these groups of tasks are not necessarily the same. Today’s video describes the accounts that you require after installation for a single server environment and a server farm environment.

On behalf of SharePoint4MEA team, I’m really pleased to announce the availability of a new Arabic Video series that shows and explains in a step-by-step manner how Highly Available SharePoint 2010 and 2013 Farms can be created on Windows Azure Infrastructure as a Service. The video series was created by our SharePoint Expert, Mahmoud Hamed as a response for some requests that we received earlier and it’s available now on our YouTube channel .
Windows Azure is really amazing, it provides an on-demand infrastructure that scales and adapts to changing business needs. There is a lot of white papers out there on the internet that explains how you can create a SharePoint farm with High-availability but this series is intended to explain and show the whole process via short videos along with the different challenges that might arise along the way. You can watch the series fromhere.
Please note that the videos were recorded in Arabic but even if you don’t understand Arabic you can still follow along.
This is really exciting for all the Arab speaking technical communities! Over the past few weeks, Ahmed Said Moussa, from SharePoint4MEA Team, has been working very hard on creating the first and the only SharePoint 2013 Administration Arabic course.
In this introductory course, you’ll be introduced to SharePoint Server 2013, where you’ll learn the basic concepts of SharePoint and how to implement and deploy a SharePoint farm.
So far we have three lessons on our YouTube channel but Ahmed is working very hard to produce the rest of the lessons very soon. Stay tuned!
